Demonstration Farm Visit

It was a beautiful September day last Friday for a technical assessment visit to our Demonstration Farm at Redcastle, County Donegal owned by James Breslin. We were ably accompanied by Dr Katy Medcalf, ecologist and spatial mapping expert from Environmental Services, John Mc Gilloway, Chairman Inishowen EIP and Henry O’ Donnell, Project Manager.

The day was spent walking the farm with Dr Medcalf and studying in detail the farm layout from the upland areas to the lowland parcels in conjunction with the spatial mapping carried out. It was a further opportunity to decide how the 5 measures of the EIP project will be implemented on the farm.

Following our visit a special workshop was held to examine our findings and plan the way forward.
